Online work

written work

Over the years I have contributed written articles to numerous magazines and online outlets. I enjoy writing about music and crafts.

An Alternative Guide To Student Jobs
As the credit crunch gripped the nation during 08-09, I read many articles about students being unable to find summer and part time jobs to fund their time at university. The situation was having a rising effect on the number of university dropouts so I decided to explore some alternative options to make extra cash whilst trying to study.
Comedy Reviews From Edinburgh Festival

I spent Three Weeks in August reviewing comedy shows for Three Weeks newspaper. I was reviewing around 5 shows a week which were printed in the weekly news paper, on their website and in the daily E News bulletin.

Music Reviews And Interviews

Black Velvet is one of the leading independent alternative music magazines in the UK. It is run by Shari and is the definition of DIY attitude. I spent over a year writing articles and interviewing bands here and my work was published in the magazine that has a worldwide distribution at indie and mainstream record stores. Vi Nouveau Vintage Clothing

Various Tasks

Vi Nouveau is an Edinburgh based vintage clothing company started by 2 friends, Zoe and Fi. During this project I worked alongside a developer to create their online presence. We worked with Zoe and Fi right from the start and were involved in the concept ideas, design and build. We also taught them about social media, setting up their Twitter and Facebook accounts as well as introducing them to blogging and search optimisation so they are able to take the website forward themselves. Wordpress integration, Flash, html, css and php were all used in this project. Visit the site at vinouveau.co.uk
